SCIS Data: Advanced cataloguing Q&A

Join us for a 1-hour advanced cataloguing Q&A session. You can send your questions to SCIS Cataloguing Team Leader [email protected] one week before the session or join in on the day. Suitable for school library staff who are proficient in the use of SCIS Data and have a knowledge of cataloguing standards.

While the questions received will inform the specific content, the session will cover:

  • Advanced features of SCIS Data
  • SCIS Standards in relation to Dewey Decimal Classification, Resource Description and Access, and MARC
  • Controlled vocabularies: SCIS subject headings, ScOT, Series and Genre headings

Can't make it to the session? A recording of the webinar will be emailed to all registered participants after it has been held.

Renate has worked for SCIS since 2018. A qualified teacher librarian, Renate worked in secondary school libraries for 20 years before teaching library and information services at Box Hill TAFE. She is passionate about ensuring that schools receive the quality data needed to empower information discovery for students.
